Ettore Donini works for the masses: identify the subject, structure the whole, he operates with strokes of light, which consists, in this picture, in the facade of the house and in the little girl dressed in white. The brightness of some particular makes balanced the presence of chromatic masses.

To underline, down left, the boxes made from the shadows, frames only partially reportable to the reality of representation, but essentially an invention of the artist. In this way, the emotional truth of the narration gains a greater relevance.
